We create socially and socially responsible events with impact
Together we aim to:
- reduce our environmental impact and reduce waste
- support communities in their transition to a sustainable economy
- promote innovation
- embrace diversity and inclusion in all its dimensions and ensure the well-being of every visitor
As part of Easyfairs Group, we are committing to the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge. Our goal? To be completely climate neutral by 2050 and halve our CO2 emissions by 2030.
THE 6 KEY INITIATIVES
to achieve these objectives:
1.
Production & waste
We use all-in stands whenever possible
We have a clear waste policy
- We sort all waste
- We place sorting bins at strategic locations
- We provide exhibitors with a sorting kit
- We limit the use of plastic and paper
- Exhibitors and visitors use our SmartBadge technology
- We provide digital signage where possible
- We reuse banners, banners, flags for subsequent editions of Logistic & Industrial Build
- We use environmentally friendly cleaning products
2.
Energy
We use renewable energy
- The solar panels on the roof of Flanders Expo and Antwerp Expo supply Logistic & Industrial Build with green power
- Flanders Expo and Antwerp Expo are equipped with LED lighting, as well as our all-in stands
- We reduce energy consumption by strictly controlling lighting, heating and HVAC levels during set-up and take-down
- We switch off electricity at all stands at night
- We limit the temperature to 18°C
- The toilets in Flanders Expo and Antwerp Expo are equipped with an economy button
3.
Travel & accomodation
We reduce travel emissions
- Flanders Expo and Antwerp Expo have charging points for electric cars
- We encourage visitors to come to Logistic & Industrial Build on foot, by bike, by public transport or by carpool
- Tram T1 from the centre of Ghent stops in front of Flanders Expo
- Antwerp Expo is only a 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop and a 20-minute walk from Antwerp-Zuid railway station
- Flanders Expo and Antwerp Expo both have spacious bicycle parking facilities
